Legal notice, version 1.5. English translation provided for convenience; if there is any
discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
AllOk is a support tool that sends peace-of-mind alerts; it is not an emergency service.
- AllOk does not replace the official emergency services of your country (police, fire brigade, ambulance). In a real emergency, always contact your country's emergency services directly.
- The alert is always triggered from our servers (not from the user's phone), so it does not depend on the battery, coverage or state of the user's device. Even so, delivery depends on external providers (mail servers, spam filters, Google Play Services for the push notifications the contact receives) over which AllOk has no full control. We cannot guarantee that an alert will arrive, or arrive on time, in the event of failures, maintenance or outages of those providers, or interruption of the AllOk service.
- The user is responsible for keeping their emergency contacts and configured check-in interval up to date, and for periodically checking that the app and notifications work correctly on their device.
- Notifications turned on, strongly recommended: AllOk sends you a local notification on your own phone as a reminder before your check-in deadline expires (this notification does not depend on the server and is not sent to your emergency contact; it is only a reminder to yourself to reduce the risk of a real alert being triggered by a simple oversight). If you keep AllOk notifications turned off in your system settings, you will not receive this reminder and the risk of forgetting — and therefore of your contact being notified unnecessarily — increases. We recommend keeping them turned on.
- AllOk and those responsible for it accept no liability for damages, losses or consequences arising from the non-delivery, late delivery or erroneous delivery of an alert, nor from the emergency contact's failure to act once the alert has been received.
- We record your data: each check-in ("I'm OK") and the acceptance of this notice itself are recorded on our servers (date, time and IP address), both for the operation of the service and to be able to verify that it was the user themselves who confirmed, in the event of a dispute.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel the service: the server keeps waiting for the user's check-in even if the app is no longer installed, and will end up notifying their emergency contact if the deadline expires. Anyone who wants to stop using AllOk must delete or pause their account from Settings before uninstalling.
- Use of the application implies acceptance of these terms.
Legal traceability of acceptance
Each acceptance is recorded immutably (it is only stored, and never modified or deleted from the device itself) with: user, text version, app version, device, IP (captured on the server, not sent by the client) and exact date/time. Each individual check-in is likewise recorded with its IP.
When an account is deleted, the profile and contacts are deleted, but the following are kept separately, based on the legitimate interest of being able to demonstrate that the service worked correctly in the event of a claim:
- Record of acceptance of the terms.
- Record of alerts already sent to the emergency contact.
- Record that the user paused/deleted their account correctly.
- Check-in history — automatically purged after 6 months, whether the account remains active or was deleted.
- History of each change to the check-in deadline, with previous value, new value and IP.
